About Us

Tullamore Golf Club is situated at Brookfield, south of Tullamore town, on the Kinnity Road (R 421) just off the N 52.   It is only 10km from the M6 just an hour from Dublin and just over an hour from Galway.  The 18-hole championship parkland golf course is enjoyed by members and visitors alike.  It is rated among the top 30 parkland courses in Ireland in Backspin's 2012 Irish Golf Course Rankings.

The course has been situated here at Brookfield since 1926 and Club celebrated it centenary in 1996 when the James Braid designed course, which had been re-designed by golf-course architect, Patrick Merrigan, was unveiled.  The re-design incorporated three lakes along with building seven new greens, 11 new tees and 30 new bunkers. Drainage and irrigation were upgraded and 5,000 trees were planted to augment those clusters of mature oak, beech and chestnut trees that had been there for a century and more. The result is a magnificent course which combines the best of the Braid design with new developpments.   The 5th, 13th, 16th and 18th holes in particular, provide the visitor with an unforgettable challenge.

The Club has hosted many major tournaments over the years and we extend a warm welcome to our many visitors.
