Irish Mixed Foursomes

Our team played Abbeyleix in the 1st round of this competition on Sunday 14th April with 3 matches away and 2 at home.    Having lost 1 match at home, the pressure was on the away team to win 2.    Although 1 match was won early, we had to wait for the final match which went to the final putt on the 18th green before our team were able to claim victory.

The 'Home' team were Michael Fox & Ann Wynne and Noel Cleary & Eileen Kinsella.     The 'Away' team were Shane & Eileen Cahir, Eoin & Betsy Flanagan and John O'Shea & Marie Daly.

The team will now play Rathdowney in the next round on Saturday 4th May with 3 matches away and 2 at home..

The Tullamore team were successful in the first round of the competition on the very challenging Heritage Golf course.    The team were Catherine Daly/Emer Molloy, Joan Keegan/Joan Murphy and Jacinta Joyce/Mary Dagg.

Minor Cup

Tullamore v Mullingar in Glasson Golf Club 6th April 2013

Our team successfully defeated Mullingar in the 1st round of this competition. The matches were closely contested with 2 matches won on the 18th.

Team: Joan Keegan, Anne Coughlan, Brid Dunne, Marie Daly and Anne Moore.

The next outing for this team is against Kilkenny and the match will be played in Rathdowney on the 8th May.
